A party in which expectant parents or parents receive gifts for their newborn baby is a "baby shower". It is a very popular tradition in many countries.
Baby shower helps the parents to collect the useful items for their baby such as gifts,clothes etc., Baby showers have become common nowadays.
Only women were used to attend these parties, but in recent times men are also starting to participate in some countries several shops provide newborn baby lists from where parents select the necessary items which they need for the baby to avoid unwanted gifts.
A shirt without buttons, collar and pocket is known as a T-shirt or teeshirt. A teeshirt is commonly made of cotton or polyster fibres which gives it a distinctive soft texture. Often they are decorated with pictures, text or sometimes with advertisements. These come in all sizes: baby, youth and adult and are style statements for both men and women.
Snapsuit is a bodysuit for infants designed to hide a diaper when worn. IT offers support to helpkeep the diaper in its place. Snapsuits extends past the waist and has snaps or buttons that closes the crotch. These are a popular gift for expecting mother.
Toddler is term which is used for a young child who is learning to walk or toddle. It is a second stage of development at the age of 12 to 36 months old.
Traditionally, baby showers were given only for the family's first child, but now it has become more common to hold them for subsequent or adopted children.
Even when a shower is held for only the first child, it is not uncommon for a parent to have more than one baby shower.
Baby showers are more popular in Africa, Asia and Africa but only for women gatherings. Baby showers, like bridal showers are becoming open to new ideas, concepts and themes. Once it was unacceptable in America for guests to rub the expectant mother's tummy. But now if permitted by the mother "tummy-rubbing"is acceptable.
Snapsuits are frequently worn by infants in place of a shirt to stay tucked inside the waist of pants, which is difficult to maintain with infants wearing regular shirts.
Sometimes they are made so that the suit extends down the thigh about to the knees, with snaps along the crotch to allow for the diaper to be changed without removing the garment completely.
They may also cover the entire leg and feet. They are worn commonly by very small children or infants Snapsuits are also available for adults.
