The sky is the limit, when you are dressing your child in a punk rock fashion. This of course isn't limited by shirts, pants, and shoes.
On the contrary, many retailers offer a wide selection of accessories, such as belts, pins, and even hats and beanies.
Whether you are looking for your traditional baseball cap, or the more mainstream beanies you are sure to find something that will suit your needs.
Many of your traditional style punk rock beanies, and caps can be found available in infant and toddler sizes. From band logos, all the way to your more political styles.
However, if you aren't able to find a beanie or hat that will suit your needs. You should be able to obtain a patch that would suit yours, and your child's personalities. One of the most popular being the Ramones logo beanies, or hats. However, you are not limited to the genre of punk. Quite on the contrary, chances are you will be able to find beanies and base ball caps, in many styles. Some of the favorites being as simple, as a solid colored beanie meant for the sole purpose of keeping your child's head warm.
The trick isn't obtaining these wonderful items, but getting your child to wear them. Unfortunately, there is no way to truly make an infant wear a hat, that feels completely foreign to them. However, with a toddler who wants to emulate their parent it does tend to get a bit easier. Try wearing your own beanie, or hat and obtaining either a matching, or similar item for your child. Most children enjoy wearing what their parents do, as they tend to feel as if they are 'grown up'.
When it comes to accessories, getting your child to wear them isn't the only problem that you may need to overcome. There are several ways to mix and match the accessories to achieve the desired look.
Try pairing the beanie or hat with a studded belt, to hold those adorable little punk pants up? Or, finding shoes with a little flair pulled straight from the hats. However, when choosing accessories, you shouldn't try to match colors all too much. Instead, you should choose a beanie or hoodie that has a pop of color, within a subdued backdrop. Lastly, enjoy the hats and beanies. They are a wonderful way to keep your child warm during the winter months, and shaded from the sun's harmful rays during the summer.
